This self-directed course introduces you to the math required to calculate a natal chart by hand. You will learn how to accurately calculate a birth chart for any time, date and place on earth. The calculations are broken down into separate segments using examples and homework for practice.

You will have 6 months to complete the modules. If you have questions, you can email the instructor at any time.

Required Books:

Simply Math by Lauren Fowks and Lynn Sellon

Midnight Ephemeris for the 20th Century. Find one that has declinations if possible.

Book of Tables. The examples used will refer to the Michelsen Book of Tables, but any Placidus House book of tables will work.

Optional Books: These are not required to complete this course as time zones will be provided. You do need them (or at least know how to use them) if you intend to take the NCGR exam. They would also be important if you wanted to calculate time zones by hand, so you may want to add them to your library and study the chapter on how to use them.
