This course describes Alfred Witte’s ideas, how they revolutionized Astrological thinking, and how Witte’s concepts evolved in the 100 years following their inception.

Alfred Witte’s Ideas:

  • Importance of Cardinal Points (0 Degrees Cardinal and 15o Fixed)
  • Directing all Chart Factors and Cardinal Points by the Solar Arc
  • Planetary Pictures (Planetary Symmetries and Midpoint Combinations)
  • Use of Equations to represent Planetary Pictures:

Planet = Planet: A + A = B + B, 

Planet = Midpoint: A + A = B + C, 

Midpoint = Midpoint: A + B = C + D

  • The 360-Degree Dial
  • Unique Theory of House Systems
  • Transneptunian Planets: Cupido, Hades, Zeus & Kronos

The 90-degree dial, graphic ephemerides, the law of equal openings, computerized planetary pair sorts, and reference books with delineation guidelines are introduced. Fredrich Sieggrün’s Influence, and his four Transneptunian Planets: (Apollon, Admetos, Vulcanus & Poseidon) are included.

Weekly Topics:

  1. Course overview, Introduction to Dials, Brief History.

  2. Focus on Planetary Pictures, Personal Points, Combinatorics (Children’s Language of the Planets).

  3. Great Circles, Coordinate Systems, Relationship between Earth’s Annual Orbital Revolution around the Sun & Daily Rotation about its Axis, Heliacal Risings and Settings.

  4. Time, the Influence of Transits & Solar Arc on Natal Factors and Sensitive Points.

  5. Unique Theory of Houses.

Each class will deepen the student's understanding of the basic techniques and underlying philosophy of Uranian Astrology.

By the end of this course, students will have a good understanding of the importance of Witte’s ideas and how they are applied. They will be able to use these techniques to hone their astrological skills and obtain more specific information to answer questions from clients.

Prerequisites:

Basic understanding of planets, signs, houses and aspects.
