
The purpose of this course is to present the traditional model for the assessment of health, vitality, and disease using the nativity. Students will learn to assess the nativity using principles for judging the strengths and weaknesses of the chart as understood in traditional medical astrology.
Weekly Objectives:
Week 1: The 1, 6, 8 (4, 7, 10) Model of Astrological Analysis
- Learn the system for assessing organ dysfunction in the nativity
Week 2: The Doctrine of Signatures
- Learn the theoretical basis behind the theory of the doctrine of signatures
- Compare the doctrine to actual examples of planetary rulership
Week 3: Pattern Recognition Between Humoral and Organic Weakness
- Compare results of humoral and organ-based analysis of the nativity
- Compare the two methods by applying them to chart examples
Week 4: The Consultation Chart
Study the development of the theory of consultation charts from Valens forward
- Learn to apply this method to medical examples
Week 5: Practice
- Practice the methods you have learned in this course
