We explore gifts from the ancient world –what we may call psychology and ethics. How did pre-modern psychology apply to people and their lives? Enduring concepts from India and the West also shed light on the interplay of necessity and solar will, temperament and bodily manifestations. We will look at character and being a character, living a fulfilled and creative life with “the cards we’re dealt with”. (Where did these “cards” come from, anyway?) How do we apply these ideas to natal astrology?
This course is divided into five meetings on the ancient world and a sixth on the modern.
